Co-Founder, Principle Consultant, Director of Acquisition
Quincy is a third generation Portlander with a background in urban planning, community development, and anti-displacement strategic planning. At We All Rise, Quincy develops key strategic partnerships across sectors to advance the integrity of community development at state and local levels. Before co-founding We All Rise, Quincy worked to develop Oakland's Black Cultural & Business Zone, provided technical review for Oregon Department of Transportation's Safe Routes to School programs, redeveloped over $6M of property to address key climate change issues, conducted public engagement outreach for the Los Angeles River Project, and produced a myriad of research and case studies on racially complex issues and sustainable development challenges. Quincy received his Bachelor's degree in Urban Community Planning and Development from Claremont Makenna College and earned a certificate in City and Regional Planning from UC Berkeley. Quincy currently sits on Oregon Metro's Committee for Racial Equity.
Co-Founder, Director of Finance
Maris' work sits at the intersection of climate resiliency planning, healing cross-cultural pain, and merging sector silos. At We All Rise, Maris directs financial operations and spearheads partnerships that invest in underestimated stakeholders in the United States and southeastern Bolivia. Prior to co-founding We All Rise, Maris engaged in sustainable development work within six international communities: in Sweden under the mentorship of former Swedish Minister for the Environment, Andreas Carlgren; in Uruguay providing technical support for circular economy start-ups; in rural Peru learning from UNESCO-recognized indigenous leaders; in Chicago bridging diverse stakeholders to initiate a rehab therapy horticulture program, and in Washington, DC engaging with high stakes bi-partisan political meetings for international investment. Maris received her Bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management from Loyola University Chicago, where she was the recipient of the Wangari Muta Maathai Award for Outstanding Service. She is fluent in Spanish.
Senior Planner, Consultant
Adin believes strongly in the nexus between education, environmental justice, and equity. As a Watson Fellow, Adin will be sponsored in 2022 to conduct an extensive self-designed ethnographic project titled Jewish Persistence in the Periphery of the Diaspora. At We All Rise, Adin designs and implements projects, carries out stakeholder engagement, and produces policy papers. Prior to joining We All Rise, Adin organized forest defense blockades, taught and developed empowering curricula and educational programs for disadvantaged students in Jerusalem, New Mexico, and California, and contributed to documentary and event production across the West Coast. Adin received his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies from Pomona College, where he was recognized as 2018 Scholar Athlete of the Year and received the Middle Eastern Studies Senior Thesis Award for his thesis, Empire and Ruins in Nineteenth-Century Egypt. Adin is fluent in English, French, and Spanish, proficient in Arabic and Italian, and has limited working ability in Hebrew.
